‘Fukrey’ Fame Actor Ashraful Haque Succumbs to Cancer in Mumbai

actorNew Delhi, Wednesday, February 18 – Film fraternity was in shock on Tuesday as talented actor Ashraful Haque, who showed his expertise in acting in the films like ‘Delhi Belly’ and ‘Fukrey’, left for heavenly abode in Mumbai hospital at the age of 46 post succumbing to bone marrow cancer.

The actor was undergoing intensive treatment but he lost the battle with the deadly disease as the condition worsened.  Sudden demise of Haque was condoled by Pulkit Samrat and Richa Chadda who were part of 2013 comedy film ‘Fukrey’.  Anurag Kashyap also expressed his shock on losing Haque’s, who steadily created a unique space in the hearts of viewers by pouring great efforts in making fictional characters look as much real as possible in all the movies he acted for instance ‘Calcutta Mail’, ‘Deewaar- let’s bring our heroes home’, ‘Black Friday’, ‘Company’, ‘Jungle’, ‘Dil Kya Kare’, ‘Delhi Belly’, ‘Paan Singh Tomar’. He was featured in a number of advertisements as well.

“His contribution in the film and TV industry will be remembered for several decades to come”, said eminent celebrities who got the opportunity to work with him. His untimely death took audience by surprise who took to social networking sites to convey heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.  The actor is survived by his wife and a 9-year-old son.
