PollutionNew Delhi, Thursday, May 8 – Pollution in the national capital has ruined life of the common mob. It is literally hard for the residents to stay far away from a number of diseases, which can turn problematic in the near future if not cured on time.

According to a recent study, Delhi is the world’s most polluted metropolis. Raipur, Gwalior and Patna were ranked after it. Rate of pollution in these four cities has increased with each passing year.

The ratio of patients suffering from lung cancer, allergies, asthma and respiratory issues are much  higher in Delhi as compared to other cities. This is simply because people are directly or indirectly inhaling dangerous gases like carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons that reduce oxygen carrying capacity of the blood, making their body more prone to heart, kidney, liver and even brain diseases.

Health care centres of the city daily witness a number of patients who complain about breathing issues, central nervous system disorders etc. Situation is really alarming. If nothing is done in this regard, then it might get worst day by day. Various means of transportation and big industrial units or power plants are considered responsible for causing air pollution.
